As Usual, All of my fic's have some sort of inspiration - this fic had two. The fist is directly from the game. Yuna, singing in the Thunder Plains. The English version of 'Sen No Kotoba' (1000 Words) by Koda Kumi, sung by Jade. And The second is called When You're Lonely... by Nicholas Teo Zhang Dong Liang (NOT Translated)
Oh, Two posts in one day. Wow, but I was just reading a fic and got a little agrivated - as I often do - at the authors portraying of a "Canon" Harry Potter.
Often times people assume that to be Canon is to make harry ignorant of the wizarding world and its ways; or to make him a whiney brat who insists he only wants to be "Normal", and use him being Muggleborn as an excuse - its not.
For one thing, Harry isn't normal and he has to face tom and he knows it. Being reluctant or unsure is one thing, but being Winey about it and ignoring it isnt.
Yes Harry is a half-blood who was raised by muggles, but that is no excuse for being ignorant of the Wizard world. He's been a part of it for 6 years now. That is more than enough time to learn it's customs and culture.
Plus, Harry would know that he is rich, or about the potter family vaults. I hate people who make harry think he only had the 1 vault from book 1, or that the potters werent rich.
Lily Evans may have been a Muggleborn, yes, but his Father James was a pureblood and they generally have lots of mony. Harry would know about his family vaults, even if he doesnt realize how rich he is.
That said, I do concede that each persons perception of what is canon differs from person to person. However, some things can be labeled as simply common sense.
I meant to post this yesterday, but well didn't quite make it. I was surfing around YouTube yesterday and I found an awesome fanvid that I just had to share with you guys.
It is of course a Slash video, because we all know I don't deal in Het. It is, of caurse, a Supernatural fan vid as the subject line tells us. This of caurse means what? There is Implied Incest between the brothers winchester, and Sexual Material as the vid is technically NC17.
I personally wouldn't rate this video any higher than R, but I do have much higher standards in reguard to smut. Reguardless, I love this video. It's a textbook example of UST(Unresolved Sexual Tension). Sam is fantasizing about being naughty with Dean, and Dean about Sam, but as usual, it's the Winchester boys. Both are thick as bricks and won't act on it; yet still they get jealius if someone else shows interest in the other.
